PETRICOR is an atmospheric black metal musical project formed in 2017 by El Ermitaño. PETRICOR is the name given to the smell produced by the first rain when falling on dry soils, which is popularly known as "wet land" or simply "rain smell". This name defines the concept and sound of the band, alluding to the dark side of nature, with an instrumental and atmospheric sound, evoking a crude and simple but very authentic old sound.

A percentage of physical proceeds support Fundación Reforestemos, whose mission is to "help recover high ecological value areas through restoration, natural habitat protection and reforestation:" www.reforestemos.org
