Pilgrimage was formed in 2018 with the intent of playing Doom-Death Metal. The band is a collaboration between Sean Pollacco (Drown The Sea, ex-Weeping Silence, Metal over Malta Fest), Eric Hazebroek (Vetrar Draugurinn, Stream of Passion, Ditch), Dario Pace Taliana (Weeping Silence), Zain Gauci (Halcyon) & Dino Mifsud Lepre (Victims of Creation,
Hemplifier, Reefer Fest).
The debut album ‘Sigil of the Pilgrim Sun’ was released in December 2021 on Sleaszy Rider Recs & features a guest vocals appearance of Daniel Neagoe (Clouds, Daius, Drown The Sea) on one song. This album was widely reviewed & acclaimed to be a standout release during a worldwide pandemic, rated highly by Metal Hammer Gr (8), Metal Epidemic (10), Cult Metal (8.5) Metal Epidemic (10) & others.
Pilgrimage recorded the second album at Spinesplitter Studio & is destined for release in autumn 2025. The sophomore record, which presents 8 tracks & runs 47 minutes, is set for release on the highly respected record label Meuse Music Recs in digiCD format. It will also be available on all digital platforms. With songs that are a natural evolution from the debut, one can expect a broader spectrum of music: melodic throughout, from low & slow to aggressive passages reminiscent of earlier Doom-Death Metal. The album features guest appearances from Elianne Anemaat (Celestial Season) on cello & vocals from Heike
